English language challenges - Blog 8

 

I have watched movies in english and listen music in english everyday since I was little, so I heard the language very often, it makes me happy to understand what are talking about in the movies and the lyrics in the songs, and the most important part is that I can understand english memes haha. I want to read more books in english too. It is a goal for the future, in that way I can buy the pretty edition in english of every book, so it’s a very powerful reason to continue learning more.

At the beginning of the major I didn't have a clue of what english is going to be at university, but the past year I had my first English class and it wasn’t bad, actually it was very interesting and I can practice a little bit more the language. 

This year the blog was a way to practice writing, which is my bad area haha but with the time I was able to improve my writing skills more. Besides that it was a lot of time invested, and sometimes I was just in time, but besides that it was fine. 

When the class ends I think that I’m going to do some exercises to improve my writing and have better oral communication, because I like to learn by myself, in that way I can learn more in the areas that I’m not so good at.

Changes to my study programme - Blog 7

 

I really like the programme of my major, I think it’s very eloquent and makes a lot of sense. It’s a programme of ten semesters, with differents subjetcts in everyone, for example, in first semester we have philosophy, psychology, social history of Chile, etc. They was more for introduce the major and I think that is a great form to start. So I don’ want to make any change in this topic. Maybe add a subjetc about forensic psychology, just for more datailing in that area.

We have to read a lot, but that isn’t a problem for me, and I think that we have a very good workload, maybe in face-to-face class I’m going to make a better idea of the workload, because I only know how it works online. Also, the lenght of studies in each subject is appropiate.

Because of the pandemic, we use the technology for everything, so I think that the university should give some course to the teachers to learn how to use al lof the programs that they need to make they classes in a better way.

The teaching methods are great too, the teachers send some capsule video with the contents of the class, and make like a session of questions synchronously, that is a very good method. Also they are very flexible with the test and essays, so a good comunication is a very importat thing to.

But in conclusion, I don’t want to change nothing haha I just want to go to the university, like in person, as soon as possible.

Time travel to the future - Blog 6

I don't want to go to the future, I think know what is going to happen makes everything so boring, so if I have to choise I don't want to go anywhere. It makes me sad thinking of skip the time and not live the every moment with the persons that I love, I want to see the thing change, have time to process everything, not just travel to the future like in the movies haha

But if I have to travel to the future for some reason I will like to see me in 7 or 6 years. I can imagine myself as a psychologist, living alone or with my boyfriend, eating noodles everyday but happy haha. But I don't want to stay in the future, I want to see and live every moment, not skip any moment.
 

But I can see myself in the future as a psychologist, living alone (or with my boyfriend) in a apartment, with a dog haha. I don't want to see what's really going to happen in the future, that will be boring, so I want to be surprised for the future! I want to work, writte a lot of things and be a happy person, but everything in they time, want to enjoy everything without travel to any time, I want to stay in the present.

My future job - Blog 5

 I wish that my future job was being a psychologist, but I don’t have a specific dream job, I want to do a lot of things haha. I want to do some investigation, publish some articles, and help people. Some of my major dreams are to work with childrends and help them to have a better life, more opportunities and heal whatever they need. Also I want to help people that train to be an athlete in any sport; there are so many things that I want to do in the future haha but maybe in some years I’m going to decide for one choice. But in general I see myself in the future doing something to help people, writing and researching more biological causes of somes disorders (that’s an ambitious dream) and be like a typical psychologist who dresses with coats everyday haha. 

I think that I prefer an indoor job, but with a little bit of outside, like going to the area but also having an office where I can do all of my things. And I’m not sure if I want to travel for my job, just because I have other plans in mind but anyways that sounds great, maybe doing some traveling to see people in other areas, but I see my going to another country to work.

I never think about the salary, but in my dreams maybe more that the minimum in Chile is enough for doing what I love and also because it is a social science haha but nah I don’t want to think about that at the moment. 

After finish my major in psychology I want to do a magister and a doctorate, I don’t know in what area, but I want to be qualification for doing class in university and know more about how help childrens, disorders and mental health in general, also I want to do a diploma course of forense and judicial psychologist. 

The future is exciting and I can’t wait to do a lot of things.

My pets - Blog 4

Pucky

Actually I have three pets! Two dogs and one cat, Pucky, Luli and Tigri. They are all adopted, we rescue them from the streets:) 

Pucky is the oldest of the three of them, we found him in 2012 if I remember well, in the Persa Los Morros in El Bosque, and we fall in love in the moment that we see him. That picture is very old, we is so much bigger than me now haha but I don't find another picture.

Luli is the cutest dog ever, is like a little prieta haha she loves food, hugs and sleep, also she wants all the attention ever, no kidding she can push everyone just to be the center of attention.

And for last but not least, Tigri is a cat that we found outside our house, it was so small, she doesn’t have thooths, also she used to be undernourished for living in the street, so her health it was very bad. But with love and a lot of medicine she got over and it’s better than ever!

I love them, they make my life better! And they are so cute haha recently we bought like pet clother for Tigri and she loves it, it’s so cute. It’s going to be difficult not see them all day when the quarentine end.

Why I choose psychology - Blog 3

If I have to write about any theme or topic of psychology I have no idea of which one choose haha But I think that I can write about why I choose this degree.

When I was little I never know what a psycholgy does, obviously I look for information on internet because I want to look degrees for the future, and there I meet the psychology. 

When I have to go to see one I was 17 years old and I dont have any idea of what expect. But it was very relief have the chance to talk with someone who is not going to judge me or make laugh of me because I wasn't going through a good time. And then I fall in love with the profession. I want to help people, not necessarily in a clinic way or just in like a doctor's office, I want to help people with their mental health, with whatever is making troubles in their minds; maybe in a school, helping homeless in the streets, the point is that I want to be there for anyone who need someone. 

The best holidays ever - Blog 2

 

In January of 2020 (before covid-19) my boyfriend and I went to the beach with some of my friends! One of my friends has a house in San Sebastian, so we take the chance to have a little holidays for just a week. 

In total we went eight persons to the beach, it was a fun time haha. We went to the beach in the night, go to the games in the fair and make a bonfire in the backyard. Also we cook like noodles and rice everyday haha.

It was my best trip so far because I have a lot of fun, I was able to spend time with my boyfriend and my friends, take pictures and have a relax time.

One of my favorite moment of the trip it was when we go to the beach in then night, it was cold, but it was so fun to talk about anything and just be there with no worrys. We just take a towel, put in the sand, and sit there for hours haha.
